Meet Nagendra

A son of Bellary, in the service of Bellary.

Born in Bellary in 1971, Shri B. Nagendra has spent nearly two decades in active public life. After completing his commerce degree from Gulbarga University in 1993, he stepped into electoral politics with the conviction that the people of Ballari district deserved a stronger voice in Bengaluru.

He was first elected to the Karnataka Legislative Assembly in 2008 from Kudligi, served the constituency until 2018, and has since represented Bellary Rural — winning re-election in 2023 with a decisive margin of over 29,000 votes.

"Politics, for me, has always been about the village I came from — and the village I still answer to."
